About this recruitment
We are recruiting 1 milk farmer for a new client – a large dairy farm in Sjöbo, Sweden, with 400 milk cows and additional calves. The team consists of Swedish management and co-workers from Sweden, Lithuania and Bosnia. The position is offered as a self-employed assignment through Dolphin Group.
Working hours and pay
Guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week over the whole contract period. Possibly prolongation after end of first contract.
1. A candidate who have minimum 5 years documented milk farmer experience and one reference - pay rate €17/hour
2. A candidate who have less than above pay rate €16/hour
Most likely higher due to shifts and it's assumed that the number of hours reach 160 to 180 hours.
Milking of cows are done by shifts, 3 per day, starting 5 AM, 1 PM and 9 PM. Work is done by shifts but it can be mornings, evenings and weekends on the rolling shift planning. Free 1 to 2 days a week.
Qualifications
Overall assessment of positive details such as:
- Devoted and engaged in the profession.
- English, communicative, spoken.
- Swedish language is a plus (not compulsory).
- Drivers licence B.
- Positive to physical work.
- Having good health condition.
- Experience from animals farm.
- Teamwork ability
Candidate profile
Flexible person who is fit, social and communicative. Devoted and engaged in the profession and used to teamwork. The candidate have at least some background with dealing with animals, preferably cows.
Selection process
CV assessment
Assessment is done from CV in English, followed by a possible online interview.
14-day probationary test
If approved, the candidate travels to the site for a 14-day probationary test period.
Regular contract
If approved after the test period, the regular contract will commence.
Tasks
Work in shift (with other co-worker), milking the cows (carousel milking type). Dealing with calves morning and evening shift. Operating mini-loader for the sanding. General farm tasks.
The ultimate client
Milk-farm with 400 milk cows and additional calves. Swedish management and other co workers, from Sweden, Lithuania and Bosnia.
Accommodation
Free accommodation at the farm.
Accommodation follow Dolphin minimum standards that include own bedroom i. Access to fully equipped kitchen and toilet with shower. Internet provided at the accommodation.
Supermarket (5km away). Larger town is in the the town that also have larger grocery stores, ATM, pharmacy (15 km away).
Main location and travel connections
Travel
Free travel to and from country of origin at arrival and departure by Dolphin Group Company for the 14-day test.
