About this recruitment
We are recruiting 1 chef for a new client – a restaurant located on an island in the Stockholm archipelago, Sweden. The position runs from May to August 2026 with a possible extension to September 2026. Offered as a self-employed assignment through Dolphin Group.
Working hours and pay
Minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed over the full contract period. Shifts vary between 6, 8 and 12 hours with approximately 2 consecutive days off per week.
Pay is €21/hour pre-taxes.
Note the selected candidate will be Swedish Self Employed and earning are having approximately 37% fiscal charge.
Possible also posted self employment from other EU- countries special rules apply.
Probationary test for selected candidates maximum 14 days are paid at Euro 21 per hour (inconvenience pay only for none Swedish resident candidates). Test candidate will have free travel to and from test including accommodation.
Qualifications
Overall assessment of positive details such as:
- Minimum 3 years experience with à la carte cooking
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow recipes
- Communicative English
- Teamwork ability
- Physically fit and in good health
- Swedish language (a plus)
Candidate profile
A skilled chef with at least 3 years of à la carte experience, comfortable working under pressure and following recipes in a team environment. Adaptable to island living and remote working conditions.
Selection process
CV assessment
Assessment is done from CV in English, followed by a possible online interview.
14-day probationary test
If approved, the candidate travels to the site for a 14-day probationary test period. Travel during the test period is covered.
Regular contract
If approved after the test period, the regular contract will commence.
Tasks
Working in a kitchen with an à la carte menu, following recipes and working under pressure in a team kitchen environment.
The ultimate client
New client – a restaurant on an island in the Stockholm archipelago, employing staff of diverse nationalities.
Accommodation
Free shared bedroom on the island with access to a fully equipped kitchen. Note: no internet provided on the island, and the bathroom is located in a separate building. Public ferry and buses connect to the mainland – approximately 1 hour travel to Stockholm.

Travel
Paid travel to and from the country of origin at arrival and departure by Dolphin Group Company at assignment less than a year (not paid break travel during assignment).

- Offered Swedish Self Employment as a partner with assistance to get registered and file to authorities.
- Support by Dolphin internal staff for, administration, travel and miscellaneous details
- Candidate must have a full passport (not only a national ID).
