About this recruitment
We are recruiting 1 milk farmer for a new client – a dairy farm in Falköping, Sweden, with 300 dairy cows and 300 additional livestock, using a modern robot milking system. The position is offered as a self-employed assignment through Dolphin Group.
Working hours and pay
Minimum 40 hours per week (can become more if person can manage and would like extra hours). Work is following planed shifts.
Minimum 1 day free a week scheduled.
€15/hour.
Swedish Self Employment recruitment (expected fiscal expenses 37% – depend on annual income level) alternative posted self-employed from country of resident rules apply.
Qualifications
Overall assessment of positive details such as:
- Fair and communicative English.
- Drivers license B is a must.
- Drivers license for tractor is a plus.
- Experience animals in particular cows and calves.
- Experience to machine repairs is a plus.
- Experience with forest work is a plus.
- Positive to physical work.
- Having good health condition.
- Prepared to follow instructions given and positive to teamwork.
Candidate profile
A candidate who have the experience in farming work with animals and if possible, also have some knowledge of machines repair and forest work. The candidate is look for a long term engagement and possible settlement in Sweden alone or with his/her family if applicable.
Selection process
CV assessment
Assessment is done from CV in English, followed by a possible online interview.
14-day probationary test
If approved, the candidate travels to the site for a 14-day probationary test period. Test hours are compensated at €15/hour.
Regular contract
If approved after the test period, the regular contract will commence, followed by a possible long-term contract.
Tasks
Dealing with milking process that is robot based, includes bringing the animals in position for robot milking, keeping areas clean, feeding, assessing health conditions for the cows.
Task description by farm:
The tasks include everything needed on a farm but mainly caring for the animals and the daily operation of the farm. Putting cows to the robots that need to be milked, scraping, feeding calves, taking care of and finding possibly sick animals, driving a loader and mixing feed are some of the most common daily tasks. Some of the tasks that recur every week are mopping boxes, washing the stable and equipment, carrying shavings to the stalls, opening silos, shearing animals and moving animals between stables. Since this is a smaller farm with only two employees, you are expected to help with everything that needs to be done on a farm both inside and outside the stable.
The ultimate client
Well established family operated milk farm who also have farm machines and a forest nearby. And some cultivation of vegetables. There are 300 milk cows at the farm and another 300 animals. A few persons work at the farm mainly from Sweden, Lithuania at the moment.
Accommodation
Accommodation follows Dolphin Group minimum standards including WIFI available.
Several accommodation options exist. Minimum individual bedroom but some option can be an independent own house.
The accommodation is next to the farm.
Closest supermarket 5 km away.

Main location and travel connections
Travel
Paid travel to and from country of origin at arrival and departure by Dolphin Group Company at assignment less than a year (not paid break travel during assignment).

- Offered Swedish Self Employment as partner with assistance to get registered and filing to authorities.
- Support by Dolphin internal staff for, administration, travel and miscellaneous details.
- Candidate must have a full passport (not only national ID).
