Dolphin Group was founded in 2002 to solve a specific problem: the maritime industry needed skilled workers quickly, flexibly, and without the administrative burden of traditional employment.
What started as a specialist shipping workforce provider has grown into a multi-industry platform — expanding into agriculture in 2013, construction in 2014, automotive in 2018, and hospitality in 2020.
Our self-employed model has been central to our approach from the start. Workers operate as independent contractors, handling their own taxes and social contributions in their home countries. This means less administrative complexity for our client companies and more freedom for the workers we place.

Our workers are skilled professionals from across the EU — primarily from Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Greece and Hungary. Many hold EU-recognised qualifications in their respective fields and are widely English-speaking. All workers are required to hold a valid EU health card (EHIC) before starting their assignment. They operate on a self-employed basis, taking care of their own taxation and social security contributions in their home countries.
