(Selected candidates who complete the assignment can be offered summer season work period June to August)
The arrival test period is 14 days. Followed by a contract if successful.
No of hours per week:
Minimum 40 hours a week, possible to extend with additional hours. Two days free per week.
Pay per hour:
Depending on skills assessment, years in the profession and documented references for useful skills
Level C (less years’ experience documented and references)
(low rate) Euro 15
Level B (more than 5 years experience documents and references) (medium rate) Euro 18.75
Level A (university studies in hospitality and/or documents years of experience at 5-star hospitality locations) (high rate) Euro 22.50
(During the arrival test, the test hours are paid according to the pre-set level above, the outcome of the test can result in other level of payment than the pre-set level)
Type of contract:
Swedish self-employment recruitment (expected fiscal expenses 37%) alternative posted self-employment permitted (Swedish F-skatt rules apply).
Qualifications:
Overall assessment of positive details such as:
– English well spoken (compulsory)
– All additional languages are a plus (especially Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian)
– Social and positive, with the ability to connect, well fit for dealing with tourists
– Drivers licence B
– Snowmobile licence and experience is a plus – Quad bike experience is a plus
– Positive to teamwork
– Experience with social media is a plus
– Positive to physical work
– Having a good health condition
– Documented experience and references from hospitality sector and/or studies
Thought candidate Profile:
A candidate who has preferably experience with tourism by dealing with guiding or travel arrangements for groups or similar. The candidate finds Artic Winter attractive.
Candidate may very well have no experience in winter tourism but have the same from summer destinations or similar and is eager to learn the characteristics of the artic tourism industry.
Age group 25-35 is most likely fit, but all ages can apply Couples can apply.
Selection process:
Assessment is done first from a CV with a possible online interview to select a candidate.
Once a candidate is approved, the candidate will have to sign a probationary agreement that is for the 14 first days of the test period. If approved after 14 days candidate will sign a contract for the period.
(The 14-day test does not apply to the candidate’s resident or prior resident in Sweden, in such cases arrangements have to be made on a case-to-case basis with a short non-paid test at arrival).
Task:
Multitasking at a boutique hotel that operates during the winter season a winter camp.
The task can include more such as:
Check-in and check-out clients
- Following clients to accommodation at camp – attending to needs of clients at a hotel or camp – cleaning tasks
- Breakfast preparations
- Lunch and/or dinner assisting – maintenance tasks
Note 1. Most work with driving cars and snowmobiles and it’s physically demanding sometimes.
Note 2. Candidates who do not know or have a valid licence to drive a snowmobile will get an education.
The ultimate client:
Established a Boutique Hotel in town, with a winter camp outside town in the wilderness. The hotel is operated by its owner and manager who is Swedish and a handful of staff mainly Swedish. All speak English.

Accommodation:
Accommodation follows Dolphin Group minimum standards including WIFI available. Shared bedrooms (2 persons) and shared kitchen and toilets. WIFI at accommodation.
The accommodation is in the town of Jokkmokk (The largest town in the area with all the necessary amenities). This is in proximity to the hotel. However, for tasks at camp driving is needed.
The client provides cars, scooters and quads for work.
Lots of possibilities on free days to enjoy winter activities and get to know the location.
Note that wintertime is mainly a dark period of the year.
